With a graphical interface, users can easily create custom automation workflows that can be triggered by events or run on a schedule. Tines Automation integrates with a variety of tools and services and is flexible and scalable for automating a wide range of business processes, such as data collection, reporting, and security incident response. The aim of Tines Automation is to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and save time and resources.
They knew there needed to be a laser-focused solution, so in 2018 they started building Tines. Tines have been recognized as a Cool Vendor in the June 2021 Gartner “Cool Vendors in Security Operations” report. This is a powerful step forward in our work toward building secure and reliable automation for the enterprise.

Continuous innovation in Internet technology development and applications has enhanced the quality of life and work efficiency but at the same time has created various new cyber security challenges. It only serves to fuel the demand for cyber security professionals. To cope with the challenges, the training of local cyber security practitioners and nurturing of new generations are indispensable.

For the new generation, Technology Education (TechEd) could foster and enhance their knowledge and interest in cyber security, train up their creative thinking, and learn skills such as cryptography, programming concept, network forensics to cope with new challenges.

For existing cyber security practitioners, regular update of latest trends and enhancement of cyber security skills can help organisations to reduce the risk and improve incident response capability.

In light of this, the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will jointly organise the “Hong Kong Cyber Security New Generation Capture the Flag (CTF) Challenge 2022” (The Contest) to strengthen the cyber security skills and awareness of the industry and students and encourage problem solving through teamwork, creative thinking and cyber security skills.

Workshops by cyber security experts will be organised to help the participants understand the format and type of questions of the Contest and get prepared for it.

Highlights:

In a complex and hybrid world, enterprises must consider the challenges of increased real-time system complexity, the need for new cybersecurity policy and strong cultural support that is required to securely operate systems. As cyber risk has increased significantly across many organizations, the old adage of “trust, but verify” is no longer practical. The growing interest and movement toward Zero Trust architectures in the past few years has shifted this approach to the more accurate, “never trust, always verify”.

At the Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong & Macau Summit 2022, the implications of an emerging, rich and diverse solutions landscape and the challenges to an organization’s ability to ultimately deliver a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) will be thoroughly discussed by expert speakers. Recommendations on how industry can improve collaboration among key stakeholder groups will also be offered to accelerate both enterprise leaders and security practitioners’ adoption of Zero Trust into their environments.
